Momi Tolentino was born in Kailua-Kona, raised in Kāneʻohe, and currently resides on the island of Oʻahu in the ahupuaʻa of Makiki. She is a graduate of the class of 2016 Kamehameha Schools Kapālama, and the class of 2020 from Dartmouth College, where she graduated with a BA in Sociology modified with Anthropology, and also was on a pre-med track. Momi is hoping to gain some experience in the workforce before pursuing a career as an OB-GYN, at which time she hopes to work more closely in maternal and infant health.
At Papa Ola Lōkahi, Momi is the communications & community relations assistant. She is a key member of the NHPI 3R Team, performing outreach and providing information and resources related to COVID-19 and its impact in Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander communities. She also currently sits on the other committees like Hawaiʻi Maternal and Infant Health Collective, Hawaiian History Month, and more. Momi is excited to see what her year will look like at POL.
Welcome to the (virtual) hale, Momi!
