Papa Ola Lökahi offers a wide range of services supporting efforts to increase financial diversity and sustainability for the Native Hawaiian Health Care Systems and other organizations involved in Hawaiian health.
Proposal-writing training is conducted both in workshops, and individually. Training includes ongoing technical assistance and mentorship during the proposal writing process.
Possible funding sources are scanned on a regular basis, with funding possibilities communicated to the Executive Directors of the Native Hawaiian Health Care Systems and others as appropriate.
Fund-raising efforts are more successful for organizations that have strong strategic plans and that can document the impacts on those they serve. Thus, strategic planning and evaluation are important components of effective resource development. Papa Ola Lökahi provides assistance in both the development of strategic plans and in program evaluation, within the context of resource development.
Assistance is provided to boards of directors and staff in the areas of training in resource development and related areas.
