Our logo represents humanity caring for humanity, becoming one. Papa Ola Lokahi is committed to improving Native Hawaiian health by supporting and serving the Native Hawaiian Health Care Systems.
The color green represents life and health. The circular pattern represents pono, lökahi, and service to form the lei of values that embrace everything we do. The shadows suggest additional images: our küpuna, past generations, who guide us still, and our mo‘opuna, our hopes, our future. Together, ‘ohana provides the foundation for all we do. The shading also hints at images not yet complete, suggesting the unfinished nature of our work. Thus, as we continue our work and the health of Native Hawaiians improves, we symbolically fill in the images.
Nänä i Ka Pono Na Mä
"Look to the righteousness of many places."
Meaning, that we, the staff and board of POL, are the "main stem", and we take care of, or provide support to, others (the Native Hawaiian Health Care Systems).
